Unwanted Medicines

Safe disposal of medicines is vital for our community. Residents can drop off unwanted medicines at one of several different drop boxes operating in partnership with Hennepin County. Search all drop-off locations or learn what medicines Hennepin County accepts HERE.  One close to Independence is Spring Park Hennepin County Sheriff's Water Patrol, open Monday-Friday, 7 am -3:30 pm. As of May 2024, Delano CVS is not a disposal location. 

Medicines from households, including prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, supplements and pet medicines, are accepted. Proper disposal of unwanted medicines is important to prevent abuse or poisoning and protect the environment. Are you doing it correctly?
