The City of Independence Public Works Department is seeking applications for temporary part-time employees for snow/ice removal.  Employees’ primary duties will include operating a pick-up truck plow and tailgate material spreader to plow snow on narrow roads, gravel roads, Cul de sacs and parking lots.  This is an on-call position.  Applicants are expected to be able to sit for extended periods and have a clean driving record.  Experience in snow removal is preferred but not required.  This is an hourly rate position starting at $25.00 per hour.  Questions for this position can be sent to the Public Works Director by email at blehman@ci.independence.mn.us  to apply.
